After graduating from the University of Queensland in 1996 with a Bachelor of Business Degree majoring in Property Studies, Lincoln worked for Herron Todd White Valuers, Central Queensland (Rockhampton, Mackay, The Whitsundays, Gladstone, Emerald and Biloela). Leaving in 1999 Lincoln transferred to Herron Todd White in Brisbane where he specialised in residential and residential development valuations in the Inner City southern and Bayside suburbs. In 2002 Lincoln also did a six month stint with the Herron Todd White Brisbane commercial office. 
 
In 2003 he completed a Graduate Diploma in Property Economics majoring in Investment/Finance at the Queensland University of Technology and completed an indepth study into ‘Retirement Living In South-East Queensland’. 
 
In March 2004 to May 2005 Lincoln moved to Vancouver where he worked as a property appraiser for MacIntosh Appraisals under the Canadian Institute of Appraisers, specialising in the Downtown property market and also performed market research into the redevelopment of the Pearl District of Portland, Oregon. 
 
In June 2005, Lincoln returned to Australia and began his role as Associate Director of National Property Research and in March 2006 become co-owner and Director. January 2007 saw Lincoln return to Central Queensland (Gladstone) as Managing Director of NPR Valuers Pty Ltd, which is an expansion of the National Property Research brand name. NPR Valuers is now an established valuation company that services Gladstone, Agnes Water/1770, Biloela and surrounding regions and provides a range of valuation services including residential, commercial and rural. 
 
With co-founder Matthew Gross (Managing Director of National Property Research) July 2008 saw the launch of NPR Property Consultants, an organisation that provides clients with a full spectrum of property advisory services.
 
Lincoln Ganter is now a property columnist for the Gladstone Observer Property Week.
